HIPS
Home Information Packs have been suspended.
The Government has announced the suspension of Home Information Packs with immediate effect from 21 May 2010.
Previously under the provisions of the Housing Act 2004 a Home Information Pack (HIP) sometimes called a sellers pack, would have been provided before a property in England and Wales could be placed on the open market for sale.
Gilroy Steel can produce your HIP or parts thereof which can include:
- An Energy Performance Certificate
- Local Authority and Drainage search
- Title documents
- Guarantees, etc
If the property is a leasehold, then the pack must also include;
- Copy of the lease
- Building Insurance Policy
- Contact details for the landlord or management company
- Regulations that apply
- Recent service charge receipts and up to date accounts
